Commonly known as ‘contact forms’ these can be added as an extra page to a site adding a further element for consumer to easily enter required information to send as an email to the client.

The information is collected and formatted as an email which can be sent to the client and / or the consumer as a confirmation email detailing the information entered.

Once sent a ‘thank-you’ page is displayed to the consumer confirming the email send and adding a further element of ‘user-interaction’ (sometimes know as the ‘user experience’).

As per ‘Email Forms’ plus an additional entry of the information collected into a database.

This ensures that contact form entries are stored at the time of completion also storing the date and time of the entry. This data can then be used in a number of ways in a database-integrated system.

*1 - Hosting Package must have email facility.

Due to the functionality required for sending emails from a website the hosting package must be set up with certain extras (ActiveX components) which the website can interact with to format data into emails.

*2 - Web space must have database set up.

For contact form details to be added to a database the web-space must already have a database set-up in place. The extra functionality of database entry from a contact form includes set up of a table in an already existing database and programming to add data to the table on submission of the form.
The cost for email entry into a database does not include the set up of a database on the clients web-space.
