Generally a domain name is free to transfer between registrars; some rules apply that may be helpful assisting you in initiating a transfer.
Inbound Domain Name Transfers Free with Web Hosting
When transferring your domain name from another registrar to us the following should be observed.
Note: If you transfer a domain name to us and require either domain name parking, web forwarding or email forwarding with no web hosting a transfer fee applies. .uk £FREE .com net org costs £9.99 + VAT
- The domains registration must not have expired and should also be valid for at least two weeks at the time an inbound transfer is requested.
- International domain owners transferring to us must extend the registration for at least one additional year regardless of how long the registration is still valid.
- Remaining time on a registration is not lost on any transfer to us.

Outbound Domain Name Transfers Free
The following applies when transferring your domain name from us to another registrar.

Expired domains are renewed at our current published price online.
- The domains registration must not have expired and should also be valid at the time the transfer request is received by us from the new registrar.
- If the domains registration has expired by the time we receive an outbound transfer request, the registration must be renewed with us for at least one additional year before the transfer can be made.
