Transfer domain names from Fabulous to UK Superweb
Transfer Task 1: Verify that the domain name is eligible for transfer
To make sure your domain name can be transferred, check the following:
- The domain name has been registered for at least 60 days, and has been at Fabulous for at least 60 days.
- The domain name is not in "client update prohibited" status.
Transfer Task 2: Confirm contact information
Before you can transfer a domain, the Registrant and Administrative contact information must be up-to-date at Fabulous, because it is these contacts who receive the transfer request and okay the transfer.
To update the Administrative contact at Fabulous:
- Log on to your account at fabulous.com.
- In the "Manage" area, click "Domains".
- For the domain you want to transfer, click "Contact".
- Select the appropriate menu items.
- To add a new contact, click "Add Contacts" and type in the new contact information. When you finish, click "Continue".
Transfer Task 3: Unlock the domain name and obtain the authorisation code
Some TLDs require that you provide an authorisation code for your domain name, to provide an extra level of assurance that the transfer request comes from an authorised source.
To transfer a .com, .net, .org, or .info domain name, obtain the authorisation code from Fabulous:
- Log on to your account at fabulous.com.
- In the "Manage" area, click "Domains".
- For the domain you want to transfer, click "Contact".
- Navigate to your domain and click "Transfer". This unlocks your domain for five days.
- Copy and save the authorisation code that appears, to include in the transfer request you submit at UK Superweb.
Transfers of TLDs other than those named above do not require any codes or tags.
Transfer Task 4: Transfer the domain name to UK Superweb
Once you have prepared the domain name at Fabulous, you're ready to transfer to UK Superweb.
