Transfer domain names from Stargate, resell.biz, US2.net, or UK2.net to UK Superweb

This page takes you step by step through the procedure for transferring a domain away from Stargate, resell.biz, US2.net, or UK2.net and into an account at UK Superweb.

The transfer process involves the tasks that are described below. Following the transfer tasks, we provide information about tracking the progress of the transfer, and ICANN rules regarding rejections.

To make sure your domain name can be transferred, check the following:

• The domain name has been registered for at least 60 days, and has been at Resell.biz, Stargate.com, UK2.net, or US2.net for at least 60 days.
• The domain name is not in "client update prohibited" status.

Before you can transfer a domain, the Registrant and Administrative contact information must be up-to-date at Resell.biz, Stargate.com, UK2.net, or US2.net, because it is these contacts who receive the transfer request and okay the transfer.

1. Log on to your account at stargate.com, resell.biz, cp.us2.net, or cp.uk2.net.
2. If you are a Reseller, on the "Products" menu, click "Search", and then click "Domain Registration Search".
   
   If you are a Customer, on the "Domains" menu, click "Search", and then click "Domain Registration Search".



3. Leave all text boxes blank. In "Order Creation Date", select "Within All" and click "Search".
4. Click the domain name you want to transfer.
5. If the Registrant or Administrative contact information is incorrect, click "Modify Contact Details".
6. To change to a different contact that is already in your Contact Database, click "Use your existing Contact Database".
   
   If this is the correct contact but some of the contact details need to be changed (particularly the email address), click "Specify Contact Details".



7. Follow the instructions in the dialog box to complete the update.

Some TLDs require that you provide an authorisation code for your domain name, to provide an extra level of assurance that the transfer request comes from an authorised source.

1. Log on to your account at stargate.com, resell.biz, cp.us2.net, or cp.uk2.net.
2. On the "Domains" menu, click "All Product Search".
3. Type the domain name or, for a list of all your domains, leave blank.
4. Click "search".
5. The authorisation code appears in the "Domain Secret" box. Copy and save it to supply in the transfer request you submit at UK Superweb.

• Contact Resell.biz, Stargate.com, UK2.net, or US2.net and ask them to retag the domain name to ISP tag UKSUPERWEB (all Caps).
• Alternatively, you can retag/detag directly through Nominet, for a fee.
• When you transfer a .uk domain name, use the Auto verification transfer method.
• You can submit the transfer requests to UK Superweb and Resell.biz, Stargate.com, UK2.net, or US2.net in any order.
• If you submit the transfer request to UK Superweb first, you must submit the request to Resell.biz, Stargate.com, UK2.net, or US2.net within a week.
• If you submit the transfer request to Resell.biz, Stargate.com, UK2.net, or US2.net first, you must submit the request to UK Superweb by the next 8th day of the calendar month.

Before you can transfer a domain away from Resell.biz, Stargate.com, UK2.net, or US2.net, the domain must be unlocked. Locking is a feature most registrars offer to prevent unauthorised transfers (hijacking) of domains. To unlock:

1. Log on to your account at stargate.com, resell.biz, cp.us2.net, or cp.uk2.net.
2. If you are a Reseller, on the "Products" menu, click "Search", and then click "Domain Registration Search".
   
   If you are a Customer, on the "Domains" menu, click "Search", and then click "Domain Registration Search".



3. Leave all text boxes blank. In "Order Creation Date", select "Within All" and click "Search".
4. Click the domain name you want to transfer.
5. Click "Lock/Unlock".
6. Clear the check box and click "Update".

Once you have prepared the domain name at Resell.biz, Stargate.com, UK2.net, or US2.net, you're ready to transfer to UK Superweb.
